Elegant design, high quality and easy operation at a super sharp price. These are the important features of the TT30. Doors, top and combustion chamber are made of cast iron, which gives the stove a solid look.

The stove is slimmer than many of our other models, which makes it appear light despite the solid material choice.

Please note that this model requires a Defra Kit to be Defra Approved.

TT30 is the series for real enthusiasts. Doors, top and combustion chamber are made of cast iron, which gives the stove a solid look. The stove is slimmer than many of the other models, which makes it light in design despite the solid material choice.

Design: Simple but elegant. The characteristic inward lines of the door and the top focus on the flame image, and that sleek stainless steel handles complete the look of the stove.

TT30G and TT30G Classic are fitted with side glass which gives an absolutely fantastic experience of the flames.

The firewood door is also made of cast iron and is prepared to be able to integrate a fireplace set that is available as an accessory. (not valid for TT30G Classic)

The cast iron door is closed by two magnets, which means that all moving parts are omitted in the closing mechanism.

A single control handle that controls the combustion is located between the door and the fire compartment, so it can be easily operated. The built-in boot function makes the use of the TT30 easy.

The window is equipped with an efficient “window flush,” which leads the combustion air down over the pane so that soot formation is minimized and the stunning flame image is preserved.

The TT30 series is equipped with fresh air connection, which allows external combustion air to be connected directly to the stoves air duct. This is often necessary in modern and new homes that are well insulated and airtight. Common to all TT30 models is that they can be mounted and connected to the chimney both above and behind.

Please note that the basic Guarantee below applies to the appliance.

  • All TermaTech stoves come with a standard 5 year manufacturers warranty. This covers the appliance itself, but excluding parts in the fire chamber.
  • All Castle stoves come with a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty. This covers the appliance itself, but excluding parts in the fire chamber.
  • All Gainsborough stoves come with a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty. This covers the appliance itself.

  • All Schiedel stoves come with a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty. This covers the appliance itself.

EXTENDED GUARANTEE

Please note that the Extended Guarantee applies when an approved Schiedel or Specflue chimney is installed by a qualified chimney installation expert.

  • If this stove is installed with an approved Schiedel or Specflue chimney system, then the warranty will be extended to 10 years for Schiedel systems.
  • If this stove is installed with an approved Schiedel ICID or Schiedel TecnoFlex system then the warranty will be extended to 20 years.
  • If this stove is installed with a non-approved flue system, then no guarantee will apply for the system and only the standard manufacturers warranty as shown in the APPLIANCE GUARANTEE section

Please note that this only applies if the system and appliance is regularly maintained by a professional. Any misuse (incorrect fuel, lack of sweeping and cleaning, etc.) means the guarantee won’t apply.

Please register your appliance within 30 days.

APPROVED FLUE SYSTEM GUARANTEE

When the stove has been installed with an approved Schiedel or Specflue flue system, you must register the installation at warranty.schiedel.com – you can do this as homeowner, or the installer can do this on your behalf.

It is important to understand that we cannot be held responsible for any mistakes that occur during the installation process, and we recommend that you thoroughly evaluate the selected installer.

Provided that you comply in full with Your Responsibilities (below) and subject to the Details (below), we guarantee to you that the System (flue system) will be free from defects for whichever is the greater of:

  • a period equal to the guarantee period of the appliance to which the system is first connected; or
  • 10 years (or 20 years – applicable to ICID and Tecnoflex)

For example, if your System is fitted to an appliance with a guarantee period of 5 years, we will still guarantee your System for 10 or 20 years.

In the unlikely event that the System becomes defective during the guarantee period, we will provide a like-for-like replacement for free (subject to your compliance with Your Responsibilities and subject to the Details). If the same flue is no longer available, we will replace it with a suitable alternative.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

To benefit from our guarantee, you must:

Register your product within 30 days of installation and provide us with any evidence we reasonably request to prove that your System has been fitted by an approved installer or if not, has been signed off by a Building Control Inspector prior to use.

Familiarise yourself with the User Guide and comply with its provisions in full during the lifetime of your usage of the Liner (including by keeping the required records safe). Failure to do so will invalidate any guarantee claim.

DETAILS

Your guarantee is effective from the date on which your System is installed.

The guarantee extends only to us providing you with a replacement System.  We will pay for the delivery of that replacement to the address you have registered but you are responsible for any costs related to the removal and transit of the defective System and the installation (and any associated costs) of the replacement System and the provision of any necessary ancillary products, fittings or consumables.

The guarantee does not apply to the extent that defects in a System arise as a result of: (1) use of fittings other than approved fittings; (2) any failure to comply with the instructions set out in the User Guide (including those instructions relating to care and servicing of your System); (3) any alteration or repairs you make to it (or are made on your behalf) without our express written permission; (4) any accidental damage suffered during transit or otherwise; (5) any damage to the System that arises as a result of the installation of the System (our guarantee is offered in respect of the System product alone and does not cover the ancillary products or the consumables (such as lip seal gaskets) or the workmanship of any installation services you may obtain from any third party); or, (6) any negligent or other improper use.

If we replace your System under this guarantee, the guarantee period will not be extended.

If you move house, you may transfer the benefit of the remaining period of the guarantee to the new home owner within 3 months of the change of ownership.  It is your responsibility to transfer the guarantee by emailing us at [email protected] and to notify the new owner of the terms of the guarantee (including the new owner’s responsibilities).  A failure to notify us of a transfer within the timescales will invalidate the guarantee.

Where you claim that a System is defective, we reserve the right (1) to carry out any tests on that System, and/or (2) to require access to that System, in both cases to satisfy ourselves that you have complied in full with your responsibilities (including by adhering to the User Guide) and that your claim is valid.  Please cooperate with any reasonable requests we make in this regard.

This guarantee is offered in addition to your legal rights as a consumer.

SMOKE CONTROL AREAS.

Many parts of the UK are smoke control areas where:

  • You cannot release smoke from a chimney
  • You can only burn authorised fuel, unless you use an appliance approved by Defra (also known as an ‘exempt appliance’ or ‘Defra approved appliance’)

In England you may have to pay a penalty of up to £300 if your chimney releases smoke in a smoke control area.

You can be fined up to £1,000 if you buy unauthorised fuel to use in an appliance that’s not approved by Defra.

Exempt appliances that can burn unauthorised fuels include our stove ranges:

Unauthorised fuels, such as wood, can only be burned in exempt appliances such as some boilers, cookers and stoves.

You must only use the types of fuel that the manufacturer says can be used in the appliance.

Find out if you live in a smoke control area

Contact your local council to find out if you live in a smoke control area. The environmental services department will be able to help you.

What you can burn in smoke control areas

In a smoke control area you can only burn fuel on the list of authorised fuels, or any of the following ‘smokeless’ fuels, unless you’re using a Defra approved appliance:

  • Anthracite
  • Semi-anthracite
  • Gas
  • Low volatile steam coal

DEFRA EXEMPT OR “APPROVED”.

The Department for Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) conducts assessments of stoves to evaluate their emissions and smoke output. A DEFRA exemption indicates that a stove has successfully undergone stringent testing and is approved for burning wood in designated smoke control zones.

The word “approved” is sometimes used, but this is informal and refers to the listings available on the DEFRA site.

THE IMPORTANCE OF USING DRY WOOD.

We always recommend that only logs with a moisture content below 20% should be used in a stove. Burning wet wood will lead to an increase in smoke and emissions and produce very little heat. It will also lead to the blackening of the stove glass and a build-up of soot in the chimney. Always look out for retailers with the official Woodsure “Ready to brun” logo. Find further information at the SIA website here.

INSTALLING A STOVE WITH A CHIMNEY SYSTEM.

We provide a complimentary chimney design service tailored to your specifications.

To take advantage of this service, please click here. Additionally, we offer guidance on installation types, with examples available on this page.

For locating a qualified installer, we suggest selecting a registered installer from the following schemes:

Alternatively, if this is part of a renovation or new build project, the installation can be signed off by Building Control.

BUILDING CONTROL – DOC J

It is important to note that if the stove is installed using a non-approved flue package, the warranty will be limited to one year. However, with a Schiedel Chimney System (your installer can provide recommendations on the appropriate type), the warranty extends to ten years.
