Free chimney design service

For every stove, you need a chimney system. To help you, we can offer a free design service based on your plans. Simply purchase the stove and send in the designs. We can advise before purchased, but can only provide a parts list after purchase.

For installation, we suggest consulting the HETAS register, which can help you locate a certified installer in your area. These professionals will provide guidance on the most suitable installation type, but typically, there are three installation options available, accommodating both bungalows and traditional two-storey houses (as shown below).

When the stove is installed in conjunction with a recommended Schiedel branded flue system, we are able to offer a ten year guarantee on the system. However, if you choose to have a non-recommended flue system installed, the guarantee is for the stove only and is limited to just one year.

Internal twin wall chimney system

An internal system involves routing the pipes through the ceilings, leading into the attic and exiting through the roof.

This process is not as complex as it may appear, as the pipes are typically situated between the floorboards. This internal system offers considerable benefits, as it shields the chimney from severe weather conditions, which in turn improves insulation and fosters a more consistent draft during operation.

External twin wall chimney system

An external twin wall chimney system offers the least amount of disruption when adding a stove and chimney to a house or a bungalow.

This approach involves creating an opening in the wall of the room housing the stove, allowing the chimney to extend vertically along the exterior of the building. This installation type is useful when it’s difficult to complete an internal installation.

Internal flexible liner

If you have an existing, traditional fireplace, then this is the recommended method.

This method is popular due to its ease and affordability, especially when modernising or retrofitting older chimneys. This is a very cost effective method and can last a considerable number of years if the correct, low moisture content, wood is used.
